Matcha whisk
A fine handmade Japanese tea whisk. A bamboo matcha whisk (also known as a "chasen") is a traditional and almost essential tool for making good matcha tea. Matcha is a unique Japanese green tea that is ground into a very fine powder and must be whisked in water before drinking. A matcha whisk helps you to get a smooth and velvety drink.
How to make matcha:
Step 1: Heat your matcha bowl by pouring hot water into the bowl.
Step 2: Drain the hot water, dry the bowl and sieve about 1 teaspoon of matcha powder into the bowl.
Step 3: Add about 1 dl of 80°C water to the bowl.
Step 4: Whisk the matcha powder with a light wrist movement until you get a smooth drink and a light foam.
Step 5: Remove the whisk and enjoy.
Rinse the whisk with hot water before and after use and leave to dry with the bristles facing up or in the matcha whisk holder.
Do not use detergent to wash the whisk.
