We offer tea tasting sessions of approximately two hours for small groups at Théhuone Eerikinkatu. We are also happy to come to your workplace or to a separately reserved venue in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
TEA WORKSHOPS
We can also organize a tea workshop for your staff, covering the preparation of different tea types, the importance of water temperature and steeping time, as well as the fundamentals of tea culture. SEASONAL THEME: JAPANESE GREEN TEA
Welcome to discover the fascinating world of Japanese tea in this approximately two-hour tea tasting session. Japanese green tea embodies centuries-old craftsmanship and tea-making tradition. Its distinctive characteristics include a rich umami flavor, refined aromas, silky needle-shaped leaves, and a vibrant green color.
During the session, participants will explore the unique flavors, origins, and characteristics of various Japanese teas. We will also explain the tea production process as well as the traditions and philosophy of Japanese tea culture. Participants will have the opportunity to whisk matcha themselves using traditional tools and learn about its important role in the famous Japanese tea ceremony.
Tea tasting is always an immersive and interactive experience, where tasting different teas expands the sensory world of each participant. The experience deepens the understanding of Japanese tea and provides practical knowledge and skills for tea preparation.
This session is ideal, for example, for restaurant staff or hotel guests. The maximum group size is 7 participants, and the price is determined by the location and number of participants.
